| Find a post, comment on it, and make sure it links back to you. |
For today's task, read and comment on a blog post (MNINB does not count), making sure that your comment links back to your blog or website.
If you remember, this was the same task required way back on Day 6. How far we've come, though it's still a good idea to stay connected and engaged with other bloggers. I know I find that sometimes I start to insulate myself in my own little blogging communities and worlds--when it's good to get out and read what others are doing. In fact, that's what helped inspire my Monday Advice for Writers posts--it gives me motivation to read what others are writing (on writing, of course).
Anyway, click here for some ideas on how to comment on another blogger's blog.
Enjoy today, because I can't guarantee tomorrow's task won't be much more difficult.

Done. I participate in the Wordpress Weekly Photo Challenge. My photo is posted on my blog as Wordpress Photo Challenge and a comment is posted at
Wordpress Daily Post which includes the post's link.
Done :-)
Up and going early, and finding some new blogs was on my list of things to do today. Thanks for this task, and the reminder to link the comment back to my blog. I tend to forget that part. I know this one doesn't count for today's task, but here's my blog anyway:

Done.
Kelly, thank you for posting a link to your blog. I really enjoyed your post!
Like Kelly Ann, I was up early and completed it before I read it. Off to peek at Misky's photo challenge and then catch up on the few challenges I still have as"in progress." Thanks!
I have been trying to do this with some regularity. Your Day 6 challenge caused me to realize that there is so much out there to help me be a better writer; more than I ever realized. I am branching out and finding a whole new world. Thanks. You can bet I will be on this challenge today...before heading off to lead another Weight Watchers meeting!
I have a couple blogs in my blogrolls that do "hops" once a week or once a month. I always ride that train whenever possible for two reasons:
1) I always get great traffic on days I participate in the hops, and
2) I go through the list of all who have joined in and click on several of them to check them out. I've found several new blogs for me to connect with and comment on.
Here's an example of the one I did yesterday: http://deborahjeansdandelionhouse.blogspot.com/2012/04/farmgirl-friday-blog-hop-55.html
I'm #8 on the list.
I've found that joining in on hops can be better than doing a guest post (depending on how popular it is, of course).
At this point, I only have homesteader/farming-type hops, but I'm sure there must be some writer ones out there.
I missed most of the challenge! Maybe I'll go back and try to do the full challenge in May... I'm participating in the Pitch Bootcamp this weekend and I stumbled across your blog through a link on Writer's Market. So, Hi Robert! Thanks again for going through my query. I feel a lot more comfortable sending it out now that I know it actually makes sense. :)
Done. Actually did this on LinkedIn before I read today's task. ;-)
I just posted a comment on another American-in-France blog.
Kid sporting events all day, so this is on my to-do list when I get home later. I want to poke around for some blogs I haven't read yet.
Have a nice one, everyone!
-Linda :-)
This one *should* be easy, but it brings up a technical question for me. It seems that for some reason, comments I leave on WordPress blogs don't always "take." This has happened to me twice this a.m. So while I'd like to say "done," I'm really wondering if anyone else out there has had trouble posting to WP blogs and if you have any advice for me. Thank you!
Done. I commented on someone's poem, and then included my link back to my poem written for the same (dVerse) prompt. Will continue to do so today. Have been too shy/reticent to do the link part before...just kept thinking, "all they have to do is click my name," and that it was less intrusive. Time for a little audacity, finally, perhaps...
Thank you.

I have a blog roll on my blog that shows me which of the blogs I follow have new posts. I want to stay in conversation with other teacher bloggers. That has really helped.
I am done with the challenge for today.
http://artistryofeducation.blogspot.com/
Done. Commented on poems various.
I am so glad I found this, Robert, as doing the challenge in a week has really allowed me to see where the holes are with my platform.
Hey Nicole here. Done.
Until tomorrow.
Done. I went out of my comfort zone and commented on a new blog :-) and plan to hit all the blogs on this MNINB challenge, it will just take me a while! There's a list on the FB MNINB page for those who may not know.
Done. Times three, even.
Done! Stopped by Claudine Jaboro's blog (fellow platform challenger). Fun random thoughts with some science tidbits. Thanks for an easy task, especially on a busy Saturday.
Done. Commented and left my website address on DiY MFA. I also will be commenting on some MNINBers sites later today after i finish my blog post.
Done! Commented on Sarah Negovetich's post titled "3 Beta Readers You Must Have".
DAY 28 DONE! I frequently comment on blogs nad leave links to my site so this was easy today.
Thanks!
done! Now off to select some poems for tonight's open mic.
Done. I do this pretty much every day, but today I sought out someone participating in the challenge -- I thanked Amanda for her terrific post about getting started on Twitter: http://socciwriter.blogspot.com/2012/04/beginners-guide-to-twittercom.htm
Done! I try to do this every day and most sites have a box for putting your website. It doesn't look like my commenting habit has brought me much payback in traffic yet, but at least I'm creating links.
I left a comment on a new dinosaur blog I just found. I need to leave more comments on websites. Since I read about 20 blogs a day I should aim for one a day. Thanks for the push.
done! I did 2. because I wanted to. thanks for the push.
Done!
Done!
Just read and commented on an incredible post by Patrick Ross on his blog, The Artist's Road: http://bit.ly/JappgX.
I may have picked it up via someone's page, but I'm not sure whose, so if I'm not giving credit where credit is due, say so! If you struggle with this issue as I do, it's a worthwhile read, and so are the comments.
I have a question about "linking back to your blog." If I leave a comment somewhere and someone clicks on my name, it takes them to my blog. Is that what we're talking about?
Because I find when people leave an actual link to their blog within their comment it annoys me. It comes across as spam.
I've been commenting on blogs for about six years and clicking on my name has always taken the reader to my blog but it's never gotten me much traffic.
Im not trying to be persnickety, I just want to make sure I'm on board today.
Thanks!
I commented on a fellow challenger's blog. Clicking on my name used to go to my blog, but now it goes to my wimpy new Google+ page! So, we're supposed to actually leave a link?
Caryl, you might want to check again. As you see, mine changed.
BTW, I got a tentative yes to a guest post! They looked at my blog before replying to me - all the positive changes I've been making there made a difference!
Caryl, I clicked on your name here, and it goes to a picture-less profile with three blogs listed. Not very interesting (Hope you don't mind the feedback).
Mission accomplished, and a wonderful theatre blog discovered in the process.
I am never reticent about leaving comments on blogs, so this wasn't a major leap for me to include a link back, although I admit it seems redundant when clicking on my name already leads back to my blog, but I did it.
Eagerly awaiting tomorrow's task. I can hardly believe the month is nearly over!
Oh boy oh boy oh boy! I went looking for a new blog and found the most interesting site. A quick perusal of the entries set my heart beating with anticipation. Professional advice for thriller writers! Exactly what I've been looking for. Woohoo. I made a comment and left my own blog URL. Done!
Oh look! I'm commenting on a blog ;)
Really though, because of the blogging challenge I'm doing this month I've got this one more than covered.
Done :)
~ <a href="http://www.rhondaparrish.com>Rhonda Parrish</a>
I commented on several, but the one I'm using for today is Writer Unboxed. It's a great post by Porter Anderson about Social media and the way writers use these relationships. Plus, I know it links back to my blog, because yesterday I had a pageview referred from a comment I'd made earlier this week on WU!
All Done Woot woot
Done. One of the coolest things about this whole experience has been getting to read work by my fellow Platform builders. For today's assignment I took the opportunity to respond to a couple of the most recent posts that particularly resonated with me. Here are the links:
The Country Store
by Kelly Williamson

Yihsaijou- Genealogy Lessons
by Jennifer Chow
http://jenniferjchow.blogspot.com/2012/04/yihsaijou-genealogy-lessons.html
Done. I commented on Kim's blog. She wrote something which I had been thinking about: it's nice to meet other writers, but sometimes, we have to leave our comfort zone and try to meet people who are in our field of study (not just other writers).
Thanks Kim for letting me post on your blog!
Good task today. I rediscovered a blog I had bookmarked: Confessions from the Sandwich Generation. The current blog, about the different ways men and women read, was begging for my comment. I always sign my comments and enter my website.
Done... Thank you for making today simple. I am a bit exhausted after all the activities this month.
done!
Done, though it took several tries to get the linkback right...
I'm a bit of an addict these days. I usually have about a half a dozen windows on my browser open so I can get my to-do list done but still not lose my daisy-chain of blogger reads. Some incredible sites in the MNINB group! I can't wait to get to everyone's!
Easy! I've been doing this most days already. I can't link back to myself since my blog's not up yet, but that will all change on Monday!
(cue gleeful laugh)
Done!
4 hours and 45 minutes into day 29 and challenge day 28 is done. Actually, I'm still doing...can't seem to stop myself!
Oh man ... I spent so long networking today, I forgot to come here and say I completed the challenge, ha-ha! I commented on all the blogs on the MNINB Challenge Facebook Page today.
This week I am a guest on a blog, This interview was from my critique group friend who offered to do it after I had been hosting interviews for about 4 months. I have been commenting and visiting other blogs regularly. Done.
Done. ;)
Done! :)
Done! That was fun!
Done! I left a comment and link on http://sorrygnat.wordpress.com/2012/04/27/calltoaction-blogawards-drowninginthewordbowl/#comments
Done! Thanks!
Elizabeth- thanks for pointing that out. I have a photo on my blogs, guess i assumed one of them would pop up. I'll go work on that. thanks!
Nice. This challenge got me back to some blogs I love but hadn't visited lately, especially Jungle Red Writers. A great group of mystery writers who share a blog and seem to enjoy each others' company.

Done.
Because of this challenge, I'm now in the habit of commenting on blogs almost on a daily basis - it used to seem so time consuming, but is now getting easier.
Finally did this one - thanks to the whatnot shop!
DONE!
Done. Mainly. Linked to poet Eleanor Lerman's site and linked to one of her poems, then tweeted her to let her know. She's famous, so I'm counting it :)
I've fallen behind in the challenge, due to unforeseen family matters. I've been keeping up with the tasks and those I have not completed are logged for my return once I complete the transition from relatively carefree newspaper editor to primary caregiver for my frail mother. I've missed the daily interaction with the site and the #MNINB community on Twitter.
Done. This has become habit now. I comment (uninvited) all over the place!
hi there, payday uk.
Great info about payday loans.
my website: instant payday loans
