Advice for Writers: 023

Fresh off my first ever brush with the AWP Conference, here's a week's worth of writing advice from across the Internet.

The Tech-Empowered Writer, by Seth Harwood. I'm going to include all the links to posts related to my panel at AWP on Thursday in an AWP wrap up post. However, I wanted to go ahead and share this post early, because Seth shared some new information during the panel. Plus, he's quick with the jokes. Good stuff.

The 2 Types of Blogging Clients -- And Which One You Want, by Carol Tice. Carol explains how to get the good paying blog clients in this post. Carol's been known to make $5,000+ per month blogging, so she knows of what she speaks.

Mini Writing Retreat, by Kelli Russell Agodon. There are any number of ways to inspire your writing. You can go to the mega-writing conference known as AWP, or you can have a delightful get together with local writing friends with the objective of writing the day away together.

7 Tips for Self-Editing Your Novel, by Melissa K. Norris. If you don't have any friends with editing skills and you can't afford to pay a stranger (who may or may not be a professional editor), then here are seven tips to keep in mind while self-editing your novel.

The 10-Minute Technique to Becoming a More Productive Writer, by Georgina Laidlaw. This is a brilliant post on how to accomplish one task that will help all the other little tasks come together. Very thorough post.

Pinterest: 13 Things Writers Should Know, by Rachelle Gardner. I admit that I still have not taken advantage of my invitation to Pinterest--just haven't carved out the time yet. However, there are many who find this site super amazing. Here are some observations by a literary agent.
